Back and Neck Scan
A back and neck scan analyses muscle tension, misalignments and asymmetry of the spine. This diagnostic method is used throughout the year at our practices in Venlo and Horst. Therefore, keep an eye on our Facebook page and newsletter to see when and where the device is available. This offer is intended for people who have symptoms but are not yet sure whether chiropractic treatment is suitable for them. There are no costs associated with this examination.
The scan is a valuable tool for identifying abnormalities in the spine and the nervous system. It also provides an objective view of any progress made during the course of treatment.
The scan consists of two parts: a temperature scan and a muscle tension measurement.
Temperature scan
The temperature scan measures the paraspinal skin temperature (alongside the spine). Abnormalities in this measurement may indicate segmental dysfunction, irritation of the surrounding tissue, and altered neurological activity.
Muscle tension measurement
The muscle tension measurement assesses the function of the muscles surrounding the spine. The scan shows the actual level of activity compared with the potential activity. This may ultimately be higher or lower than average. Muscles respond to abnormalities of the spine, such as blockages and/or misalignments.
At the end of the back and neck scan, the chiropractor will show the results and discuss the available options.
