Privacy Policy

General considerations

Vividus Chiropractic places great importance on the protection of personal data. In this privacy policy, we aim to inform you in a transparent manner about how personal data are handled within our practice and how their protection is ensured. Vividus Chiropractic processes personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and has adapted its privacy policy to comply with the new European data protection legislation (the GDPR).

Your privacy and your personal data

We would like to inform you about the processing of your personal data. Your personal and medical data are stored digitally. We do this in order to provide you with proper care. The processing of your data is carried out in accordance with our privacy and data security policy. By receiving care from our practice, you consent to this storage (processing).

This is how we handle your personal data:

We store and use your personal data in order to provide you with proper care.

We only share your data with third parties if this is necessary to provide proper care. Where specific consent is required by law, we will ask for your permission in advance.

We process your data on the basis of the treatment agreement as described in the Medical Treatment Contracts Act (WGBO).

You can view parts of your personal data by sending us a written request.

If you believe that the data we have stored about you are incorrect, you may request in writing that we amend your details.

You may request that we delete your personal data. If we do so, we may (possibly) no longer be able to provide you with appropriate care. The WGBO requires a retention period of 15 years. For this reason, in such cases we store your data in an inactive archive, where it is invisible and inaccessible to normal users.

You may withdraw your consent for us to process your personal data. In that case, we may (possibly) no longer be able to provide you with appropriate care. Your data will then be stored in an inactive archive (see above).

You may lodge an objection with us if you do not agree with the way we process your personal data.

You will be informed by us if anything has gone wrong with your personal data.

We process your data only for as long as is necessary to provide proper care. We comply with the retention periods set out in the WGBO. The above also applies to personal data that we receive via third parties.
